Tennessee Legislators have put a TARGET on the Tennessee Hemp Industry!
There are at least TWO bills that are a major concern for the industry!
SB1236/HB1148 by Sen. Ferrell Haile (R-Gallatin) and Rep. Ed Butler (R-Rickman) is a bill to completely ban the sale and possession of THCa & THCp.
SB1413/HB1376 by Sen. Richard Briggs (R-Knoxville) and Rep. William Lamberth (R-Portland) is a bill that puts the Hemp Derived Cannabinoid program under the Alcohol Beverage Commission (ABC), bans THCa and online sales, bans the sale of HDC’s in convenience & grocery stores, adds a 1 cent potency tax per mg (in addition to the 6%), and much more!

Contact Your Legislators
Join us in a powerful advocacy effort by sending a prewritten letter to your legislators. Urge them to OPPOSE SB1236/HB1148, SB1413/HB1376 and SUPPORT the SB1007/HB1243 sponsored by Senator Page Walley (R-Savannah) and Representative Chris Hurt (R-Halls). This is TGC’s legislation to support and properly regulate the smokable hemp industry.
